Introduction
I am so pleased to present you with my newest show: London’s Green Spaces, Chapter 1.
The idea behind this project is to sketch the beautiful greenery around us in London, create new works, either on location or in the studio, and to share them through a series of exhibitions. We start in Kew Gardens and Hyde Park.
Although a lot has changed during the past year, I am very lucky to live in London and to be a bike ride away from the most wonderful gardens.
20% of all sales from this show will be donated to World Land Trust, an international conservation charity.
As you work your way down, click on any of the 22 artworks to enter the shop, where you will find details and pricing for everything in the exhibition. Please find yourself a comfortable spot and a nice drink. I hope you enjoy the show!

Sketching
Drawing in my sketchbook is so important to my practice. It gives me the chance to observe, collect and describe the scene around me. I love how intimate a sketchbook is. It is easy to use and discreet. My sketchbooks are like a diary and are very precious to me.
Like most people, I am comforted when surrounded by nature. It makes me feel present and peaceful. Over the past year, the green spaces in London have been a sanctuary to me, and have given me the opportunity to work despite everything.
Natural spaces are full of colours, patterns, smells and sounds which affect all the senses and make one feel exhilarated. I love to work with these feelings which light a spark in me, creating joyful and exuberant images.

Colour
How does colour make you feel?
I want people to feel the same positive and comfortable feelings which I experience in my work.
Nature is for everybody. Nature is free. It is a wonderful thing.
Studio setup in Hyde Park.
Music
Drawing might be the most important element to my practice, but I often find my best work comes with help from the sounds that accompany the scene I am in.
I love hearing the wildlife, people walking and talking when passing by, but I often zone into my own music. It helps me stay focused and motivated.
Please find below, a playlist of music I sometimes listen to when making work.

Studio work
Working from home in London means it is easy to go back into the studio and continue making works from memory and imagination.
Sketchbooks provide the basis of each study.
